Woman saved from lightning strike by R90 flip-flops

A MUM was hit by a lightning bolt while getting in washing from in her back garden - and survived. Jodie Green, 35, went out on Britain's hottest summer day on Tuesday to bring in her family's washing. But she was then blasted by the lightning which hit the 10ft metal pole of her washing line.

Jodie went to A&E and after being examined by doctors was told she had no lasting injuries - and that the dizziness would wear off.
But she still feels in a lot of pain.
